- Lifecycle: Require suppliers to clearly state the supply years, end-of-life warnings, and alternative material plans. PCN (Product Change Notice) refers to a written notice issued by the supplier before changes in materials, processes, or production locations, which can reduce rework caused by batch differences.
- Brightness Decay: Verify the L70 data under the target temperature and humidity, i.e., the expected operating time when the backlight brightness drops to 70% of its initial value. If the nominal value is 50,000 hours, continuous operation for 24 hours is approximately 5.7 years; the actual lifespan still needs to be verified based on equipment operating conditions and is for reference only.
- Interface and Structure: Fix the screen size, resolution, LVDS/eDP interface, touch cable, and mounting holes to avoid later modifications to the motherboard or enclosure due to replacement screens.
- Compliance Verification: The complete device should undergo electromagnetic compatibility testing according to IEC 60601-1-2; the human-machine interface can refer to the usability engineering process of IEC 62366-1.
Diagnostic Display and Supplier Comparison

DICOM PS3.14 defines the grayscale standard display function as 1,023 just-noticeable differences (JND). Screens used for image reading or diagnostic assistance should verify grayscale, uniformity, and calibration capability in the complete device state, rather than only looking at panel parameters.
