Chip materials are both more expensive and in short supply. How should we respond?

Recently, the words I hear most often in the company are "price increase" and "shortage". Later, through understanding, I learned that many enterprises have been hit by supply shortages during this period, complaining bitterly, and many factories or supply chains have even been unable to operate normally. Many companies reported that the shortage started last year but fully broke out this year. The current component shortage has attracted widespread attention across various application industries, also reflecting that the shortage problem covers a wide range of industries. So, as a member of the electronics industry, JinPeng Industrial has to think about how we should respond to this "historic shortage" and price increase of chip materials.

Our JinPeng Industrial already started using fully localized chips for product development in 2020, and redesigned our product solutions. This not only meets customer needs, but also achieves material localization, reducing the impact of imported materials on our supply, and greatly reducing product costs.

Facing the current situation of shortages and price increases, it is vital to maintain good communication with customers and give them the most sincere message. By sending a price increase notice to customers, telling them to place orders in advance, and that prices may rise even more, we can explain to customers in detail and ultimately secure the deal.

Under the current impact of supply shortages, prices may fluctuate greatly, so the quotation list functions are very important. We must do a good job in quotation management and control to avoid trouble caused by price changes. At the same time, when communicating with customers, we should promptly inform them of price adjustments, which can also encourage customers to place orders as soon as possible.
